New NYC apartments hitting the market: spring 2018

March 23rd, 2018

Spring is just around the corner, which can only mean one thing: the real estate market is about to pick up, and quickly.

And of course, that can only mean one thing for Curbed NY: it's time to look at the many, many, many apartments—both rentals and condos—that will be hitting New York's real estate market in the next few months. Across more than 40 developments, there are starchitect-designedbuildings and apartments in some of the city's most anticipated megaprojects, along with under-the-radar outer-borough rentals and "affordable" apartments.

It's a lot to take in, and as always, if we missed anything, the tipline is right this way.

Developments are listed geographically, starting at Manhattan’s southern tip and continuing north, then through the Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island, and New Jersey.

17 The Belnord

HFZ Capital has brought on architecture bigwig Robert A.M. Stern to helm the condo conversion of The Belnord on the Upper West Side. HFZ purchased the massive, full-block apartment complex from Extell back in 2015 for $575 million, and revealed plans to convert it into condos the following year. Once complete, it’ll have 80 apartments, which will look out onto a landscaped garden. Douglas Elliman Development Marketing is handling sales, which are due to kick off sometime this spring.
